We all feel the pace of the competitive world and end up saying, it’s becoming difficult for one to sustain! I feel the reason for this is that many of us are reluctant to adaptations. We are just not ready to change our way of living, our way of thinking. But the modern era runs on the principle of “adapt or perish”, and I agree to it to a great extent!
I simply believe that some things are inevitable. There has been an enormous change in everything. For example, once we were dependent upon pigeons and letters for communication, and today we are quick on video-calling and make plans of stepping towards more virtual- reality. Think of a person, who still sticks to the method of pigeons, you will end up equating him with a mad orthodox. And to a great extent this is justified too. Not only in terms of technology and standards of living, adapting new thoughts and modifying your thinking is important.
If you want to live a life of stability you have to match up to the pace of the fresh age or else you will be left far behind, all alone. If you do not adapt, you will cease to exist.
Today also, we lack somewhere in our ideologies with respect to the matters of dignity of labor, education for all, love marriages, cast differentiation and many more. Till date many people are stuck at the same point as they were a fifty years back.
Forget everything, think how many times we help our parents to adapt to new electronic gadgets, mobile apps and lots more. Our grandparents never used mobile phones but now they have to, it’s a medium through which they can contact their children to help them out with something in the need of the hour.
“It is not the strongest species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change.”
This statement of Darwin has a great deal of connection in real life situations other than its immeasurable contribution in the study of heredity and evolution. You have to be responsive to changes around you if you want to sustain. Sticking to the old methods sometimes is not a good idea, though they are the foundation of the new ones!
Life is always in motion, so either you adapt or you perish, choice is yours…
One has to simply understand, changes will be there as the time passes by. They can’t be avoided. If you adapt you will flourish or else perish…
