“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” -Alexander Graham Bell
Everyone comes across closed doors or lost opportunities in their lives, most people get too attached to them while others move forward to acknowledge the many more open ones in front of them.
Life is full of ups and downs, crests and troughs, not every plan works out just the way you want it to be. We often face problems in our relationships, in our work; go in debts and many other things go unplanned for. These are the times when we need to calm ourselves down, sit & think looking forward to the new bunch of opportunities we might find instead of fussing over the lost ones. We can’t always control the occurrence of events, but we can surely exercise control over our mind and attitude.
Positive attitude towards life leads to focus and determination to achieve our goals. At the time, when closed doors are staring at our faces lead to frustration and unhappiness, its only positive attitude that can uplift people to make them acknowledge the greater good in life.
The world is full of opportunities, if only we could see them!
Failures are not reasons to quit, but to forge new opportunities. Many scientists & entrepreneurs have initially failed only to learn from their mistakes and move on.
“I haven’t failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” -Thomas Edison
It’s just the way we react to our failures that determines whether we fail or succeed. It’s all about our perception!
A few lines by a friend of mine.
There are ups and downs in life,
but we have to hold on tight.
From top to bottom low,
a river also flows…
If you fall now and then,
think about the rivers strength.
You will find the will to survive,
& merge in an ocean called life…
