BMW, the third largest luxury car maker company, launched the all-new X6 Sports Activity Coupe in India at Rs. 1.15 crore (ex-showroom) on Thursday. This new SUV gets the M sport package as standard and is available only in xDrive40d variant.
Launching the high-end version, Mr Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India, said, “Luxury has always been written with an X. To the very last detail, the new X6 offers a unique synthesis of luxury, sporting dynamics and powerful style creating an excitingly different driving experience for our customers. The superior handling characteristics and thrilling driving dynamics bends the laws of physics, instantly propelling this exceptional vehicle to its rightful position as the king of the road.”
The new X6 is the second-generation of the BMW X6 which was discontinued in 2014. It will be sold at BMW dealerships across India as a completely built unit. “The car sports a 313 hp diesel engine and attain the top speed of 240 kmph in 4.8 seconds and can easily speed through both on-road and off-road conditions” Sahr added. The company is planning on launching a petrol variant by the end of this year.
The new X6 will be available in five colours – carbon black, space grey, mineral white, alpine white (non-metallic) and flamenco red brilliant effect. 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters sends power to all the four wheels via xDrive system.

The all-new BMW X6 with the M Sport package sees BMW once again setting the benchmark for extravagant, emotive design, luxurious interiors and extensive customization options.”
New X6 rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, with new LED tail-lamps and new front and rear bumpers. For safety X6 includes stability control, traction control, descent control, 6 airbags, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor.
